Larry Myers Advanced Riding Techniques


The Advanced Riding Techniques School is a tailor made curriculam for each individual who attends the class.  Larry will work with riders of all skill level one on one throughout the day to improve your riding skills. 

The maximum number of students allowed in the ART school is 10.  This allows Larry to pay personal attention to each rider, and teach specific skills that needs improvement. 

In general, the class will focus on advanced braking techniques, specific race lines tailored to the track, motorcycle dynamics along with any other riding related topic you want to discuss.

YOU MUST BE AT LEAST AN INTERMEDIATE LEVEL RIDER TO TAKE THIS CLASS.  THIS GROUP WILL RIDE IN THE ADVANCED GROUP.

History
 
2004 - I started as a CMRA novice, where I made inside the top ten in two classes            (Formula 1 & 600 Super Bike) by the end of the season.
 
2005 - After winning many novice races I moved to expert midway through the season where I               finished twelve over in the expert standings.
 
2006 - I continued to compete in the CMRA, And was selected to represent the CMRA for the AMA Grand Championships. Also during this season I received my AMA Pro license where I Competed in my first AMA national at Mid Ohio.
 
2007 - at the end of this season racing for CMRA I was ranked over all eighth place, Also during this season I competed in the CMRA endurance series For team Ride Smart. My team mates were Ty Howard, Derk Anderson, Justin Sonnen and Devyn Anderson. I competed at the endurance series in road Atlanta with Zack Chapman at WERA Nationals.
 
2008 - Competed in the CCS series and received the number one plate and five championships for the CCS south series.
 
 
Instructing History
 
2005 - Began as an instructor for Ride Smart Motor school. Continued this in 2005 through 2008 as well as Longhorn Motorcycle School
 
 
Career Goals for 2009
 
First goal is to compete in the AMA Daytona Sportbike series

I am also contracted for lead instructor for Texas Track Days while continuing to provide private lessons at MSRH Mercedes - Benz of Sugarland Roadcourse.
